Ulysses - Vintage First Screening Movie Poster, 1955

An original Finnish first-screening poster for Ulisse (Ulysses, 1954), the Italian epic adventure produced by Lux Film and directed by Mario Camerini, starring Kirk Douglas in the title role, Anthony Quinn - fresh from his Academy Award for Viva Zapata! (1952) - and Silvana Mangano. Premiered in Finland in 1955, never re-released.

Printed by Piirtopaino Oy. Artist-signed in the plate. Titles in Finnish and Swedish. Standard Finnish A2, approximately 16 × 23.5 inches.

Condition: C7, Very Good. Folding crease visible. Creasing consistent with clamp mounting. Two small chips to the left edge near the centre - hard to spot against the dark background. Small tear to the bottom edge centre. Strong, vivid colouring throughout. A striking poster.
