The Gay Ranchero - An Original Movie Poster, 1950

An original Finnish first-screening poster for The Gay Ranchero (1948), the Republic Pictures western starring Roy Rogers (“King of the Cowboys”) and one of the most popular western stars of the 1940s. First screened in Finland in May 1950 with no further theatrical releases.

Printed by Piirtopaino Oy, Helsinki. Artist-signed in the plate at the lower right corner. Standard Finnish A2, approximately 24.5 × 17.5 inches.

An extremely scarce piece of Roy Rogers memorabilia  - Finnish release posters for Republic Pictures westerns of this period rarely survive in any condition.

Condition: Fine or very near it. Thin paper stock consistent with the era; stored flat for decades but retains original fold lines to centre in both directions. No pinholes, no tape residue to verso. No nicks or tears to the edges; one very small chip with minor loss to the top edge towards the left.
