Published in London by Bloomsbury, 2004. First Edition, First Printing, hardcover in dustjacket.  Black-coloured boards with embossed titles at the backstrip, dark-coloured edges to the block. With ribbon-marker as called for.

An unread copy of the Hugo-award winning first novel. The book has clearly been opened only for the author to sign and date - "4th October 2004" - the UK date of publication. 

Condition: the ribbon-marker has never been disturbed and so has over time started to pull the block away from the backstrip at the top. The book is in Fine unread condition otherwise, however, with the most minor of pushing to the spine tips and with minor marks to the top and bottom edges of the block. 

In the black, paper dustjacket which is unclipped. Some shelf-rubbing evident under close examination along the edges but otherwise Fine condition.
