The World's Fair Edition of a Cotton Club program (New York, 1939) which has been inscribed and autographed by Louis Armstrong and also Maxine Sullivan with whom Satchmo collaborated frequently.

Inscription reads "Best Wishes to ('name') and Marie from Louis Armstrong, Maxine Sullivan".

There is a word between both signatures which I cannot decipher - it appears to have been written in Sullivan's hand and it might be "Me too".

The program itself is approximately 9" x 12" in size, unpaginated, stapled wrappers, 8 leaves so 16 pages. Both covers or wrappers are blank on the inside. Fully illustrated with B & W photographs and a few line drawings. I

n Good condition, small tear at the bottom corner front wrapper, other creasing and rubbing to the edges of the cover. Contents excellent and clean.

Loosely inserted into the autographed program, a secondary program or flyer for the "Sixth Edition Cotton Club Parade" featuring Louis Armstrong and Maxine Sullivan. This is a simple folded sheet (measures 9" x 12" unfolded) with cast list and set-list. It is in nice clean condition although it has not been trimmed well at the fore-edge and has a flap which is torn in a couple of places (not affecting the text or illustrations).

Great items on their own but very special with the autographs.
