First Edition, thus, First Printings.

A beautiful example of this lovely Folio Society edition of the writings of Saint Augustine, translated by the Reverend Marcus Dods (1887). In two volumes, presented in a decorated, hooded slipcase.

Neither book appears to have been read or even opened and each is in As New condition. To the right fore-edge of the stiff card slipcase there are a few very small rubs but otherwise the slipcase is also in excellent clean condition. Each book illustrated with colour plates, a stunning edition.
