Rio Grande - A Re-Screening Finnish Movie Poster, 1964

An original Finnish re-screening poster for Rio Grande (1950), the Republic Pictures western directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne - the third and final film in Ford’s celebrated Cavalry Trilogy, following Fort Apache (1948) and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949). This poster dates from the 1964 Finnish theatrical re-release.

Printed by Piirtopaino Oy, Helsinki. Artist-initialled in the plate. Full bleed. Standard Finnish A2, approximately 40 × 60.5 cm. A wholly illustrated poster with a very striking, richly coloured design.

Condition: Near Fine. Cinema-used, mounted with glue or paste with five glue stains to the verso which bleed through, but the dark background obscures them very effectively. Minor handling creases; no edge wear, nicks, or tears.
