Redwall by Brian Jacques — first edition, first printing of the UK edition, published by Hutchinson, London, 1986. Hardcover in dustjacket.
The opening volume of what became one of the most beloved fantasy series in children’s literature, with over 20 subsequent titles. First editions of Redwall are increasingly sought after by collectors.
A lovely copy. Blue covers with gilt titles to the backstrip. Upper spine tip lightly pushed; lower corners lightly bumped; book remains square and firmly bound. Text block fresh and white, free from owner names, bookplates, foxing or spotting. A bright, clean copy.
Dustjacket unclipped with original price of £7.95. Small patch of cloth bleed to the inside; front flap slightly creased; very small split to the upper corner of the lower panel. Overall presents very well. Near Fine/Near Fine.
