Signed, inscribed and dated by Ralph Steadman at the title page: inscription reads, "To Rosemary, from Ralph Steadman, 19 Oct, '72".
Condition: an attractive copy. The covers are clean and the book remains square and firmly bound. Bumping at the spine tips and corners and a couple of edge bumps as well - consistent with normal shelf-wear in a book now over 50 years old. The block remains fresh, no spotting or foxing, and free from ownership markings of any description. At least Very Good, a well-preserved copy.
The dustwrapper is unclipped with price £3.25 at the front flap. At the top margin of the rear flap there is a patch of moisture staining and along the inside of the wrapper some rust-coloured spots. Nicked at the bottom of the spine and some small laminate chipping along the edges. Minor tanning. A Good condition dustwrapper, nonetheless, and as can be seen from the accompanying images, presents well.
An excellent copy of this title which is by no means common nowadays.
