Full leather gilt with the New Naturalist monogram to the upper cover, two raised bands and gilt titles at the spine. pp. xi, 465, illustrated with colour photographs and diagrams. Tipped-in limitation plate to the front endpaper which is signed by the author, G.R. Potts, and, in addition, the traditional New Naturalist dustjacket is provided and has been signed directly by its artist and designer, Robert Gillmor.
This copy is lettered "E" and was reserved for the late British botanist and New Naturalist series co-editor, Professor Richard G. West, with his printed name-plate fixed to the front paste-down.
As New condition in slipcase. The dustjacket has a score-line down the spine and a further crease-line down the fore-edge but is otherwise Fine.
