Maya Angelou (1928–2014) was one of the most celebrated poets, memoirists, and civil rights activists of the twentieth century. Best known for I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (1969), her work continues to resonate globally. Her signatures are increasingly sought after and are rarely found with such a personal and characteristic inscription.
