An extremely rare pamphlet published by the Swedish-speaking supporters of the Lapua Movement (Lapporörelsen) — Finland’s far-right, anti-communist political organisation of the early 1930s. The title translates as: “The Lapua Movement, its origin and development, its aims and possibilities: Finland’s Swedish population and the Lapua Movement.”

The Lapua Movement sought to revive the “White” principles of the 1918 Finnish Civil War, promoting anti-communism, Lutheranism, and Finnish nationalism. Initially attracting support from prominent members of the establishment, the movement’s increasingly violent activities — including the kidnapping and murder of Social Democrat politician Onni Happonen — ultimately cost it mainstream backing. It was outlawed following a failed coup d’état attempt in 1932.

Extremely rare: only a small number of copies are held by university libraries across Northern Europe. This example is in excellent, clean condition. Sunned at the spine; minor marks to the wrappers and slight creasing — otherwise Very Good.
