Anne Morice (1918–1989) was a British crime writer best known for her Tessa Crichton series, featuring an actress-sleuth. She wrote 25 novels in the series between 1970 and 1990 and has been increasingly sought-after in first edition as she has been rediscovered by Golden Age enthusiasts. Murder by Proxy (1978) is one of her scarcer titles.

Condition: Pushed a little at the lower spine-tip with minor rubs at that point, but a tight, square copy — may well be unread. Dustjacket unclipped with just minor creasing along the top edge; otherwise near fine. A very attractive copy.
