First Printing. The celebrated Stockholm catalogue, one of the most influential artist books of the 20th Century. Published in Sweden on the occasion of the Warhol exhibition at the Moderna Museet (Modern Art Museum) in Stockholm, Feb-March 1968.
Unpaginated, but with over 600 photographs, most concerning the daily life, activities and characters of the Factory in New York, taken over the previous few months.
Published originally in softcover format, this example is presented in a later half-cloth binding with marbled boards, white titles at the spine - the original "flower-power" wrappers bound-in and perfectly preserved.
Condition: the outer binding is in Fine, clean condition with no reportable signs of wear. The original wrappers both have strong, vivid colouring. Historic corner-creasing to both wrappers visible under close inspection; the recto of the front wrapper shows a trace of off-setting from the title-page opposite. The contents are clean, free from ownership markings and/or signs of use. As usual, there is a degree of tanning to the cheap paper-stock, most noticeable at the edges of the block. A very well-preserved copy, however, Near Fine condition.
