A divisive and polarizing figure in his lifetime, Alan Clark was described by former UK Chancellor Norman Lamont as "the most politically incorrect, outspoken, iconoclastic and reckless politician of our times". But, an accomplished historian, his three volumes of political diaries are now considered amongst the most important of the 20th Century and draw comparisons with the work of Samuel Pepys.
This set of uniformly Fine-condition books includes the original "Diaries" (1993), "Diaries: Into Politics" (2000) and "The Last Diaries" (2002), the last two published posthumously (edited by Ion Trewin).
Each volume is a first edition, first printing. Each book in Fine condition in Fine unclipped dustjacket, an excellent set.
